[Ways12] — A Photographic Practice
At its core, the body is understood as a threshold—a unique space where the individual shell meets social experience, and personal emotions intertwine with the environment. It exists on the borderline between the inner self and the public world. Every body carries its own history of spiritual and physical experiences, which can be deciphered through its very physics.
The number 12 symbolizes a cyclical structure. Within these cycles, the body becomes a living archive. Scars, folds, stretch marks, and changes in the skin serve as a kind of “bodily timekeeping.”
Posing becomes a tool for conveying vulnerability, while nudity stands as a symbol of honesty and the ability to embrace one’s true self.
The goal of this practice is to shift the focus away from norms and conformity. It invites us to view the body through the prism of “presence"—without idealization, unrealistic expectations, or standardization—honoring the lived experience reflected in our physical form.
By preserving our physical uniqueness, we safeguard our personal identity.
